East is Best
Ok, I give …. I didn’t mean to say ‘West is Best’.

With Alberta feeling like late November, snow in Nanaimo, and vineyards in California feeling a nip, I have to admit bias and error just as I did with Natural Gas.
I will have to look at it more but it appears the ENSO cycle which is in a strong La Nina doesn’t do ‘West Coast Moderation’. Someone will have to let me know if there is something equivalent to ENSO in the Atlantic but from what I saw the Gulf Stream carried on like it was normal, keeping Western Europe consequence free for their latitude, and that it will continue to do so.
This winter is going to be a blast.

I’m not sure there is anything in the North Atlantic. As you say, the Gulf Stream rules the roost up there. However I think there is something off the coast of Africa, just like the El Nino / La Nina being off the coast of the US / Central America. Still learning these things.

Thanks for coming back and seeing my recovery. This cold front coming across Lake Superior should give us a hint as to whether WHWP (post after this) or the ‘cold storage’ of Hudson’s Bay will be more of an influence. Regardless, it looks like better ‘ice wine’.
