Natural Gas : Only Up
I have been so wrong on Natural Gas. That stuff that used to get in the way and get burned off at the well like so many aspen trees in a stand of pine (another story idea in the prose!). Where do I start. Even at $10 in Chicago the only LNG coming in is from Trinidad and Tobago, and probably best of all during the cold but ‘not record cold’ of last winter and record drilling in the US for gas, the excess storage was all used up (click on image for better resolution) and we are back to the 5 year average.
I never did pretend to be an Analyst however (like that guy at Amaranth), so we’ll leave it to ‘Analyst’ at ‘Oil and Gas Blog’ to post the accelerating interest in Arctic Gas.
Combine the ‘Supply and Demand Story’ with a strong La Nina entering into a Solar Minimum, its definately not going to be a storage conserving winter coming up.

[…] With Alberta feeling like late November, snow in Nanaimo, and vineyards in California feeling a nip, I have to admit bias and error just as I did with Natural Gas. […]
