I know its been a couple of months since the last post (aside from len’s foaming
on ‘the vent’), so I thought I would talk about a lot of things. First, our Xbox red
ringed, but it wasn’t the ‘full’ red ring, it was only ¼ instead of ¾ of nightmarishly
annoying red instead of green lights. As you can imagine, I wasn’t playing very
many Xbox games or any at all, instead I resorted to my pc. I finished the Half
Life 2 Episodes. The ending is just such a huge cliffhanger, but all the same just
shows that valve really will do the ‘unthinkable’ in their Half Life story line. Then
after that I started to mess around with garysmod and downloaded a bunch of
weapons that were only really fun for like 5 minutes. I also built a huge spiraling
stair case out of floating junk and then put a car on top and made a jump.

I later started playing a mod called Insurgency for the Source Engine which is a super
realistic, super easy to die in squad based shooter where you either play as the Iraqi
insurgents or the US marines. The goal is to capture the 4 points on the map and not
have your reinforcements depleted. Despite sounding really hard, it is a lot of fun.
I also got a brand new motherboard. It is an asus, supports 3 way SLI (which I
probably wont be using anytime soon) and 45 nanometer processors. It is a 780i
nforce. After installing it, something happened and I had to f-disk my system partition
and reinstall windows. After I got everything working properly again, there was more
trouble… my rank in Lost Planet Extreme Conditions: Colonies Edition, and my six
hours in save game in S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Shadow of Chernobyl. I have been slowly
trudging back to the spot I was at( meaning I haven’t really played it much since.)

Titan Quest. I played Diablo 2 in singleplayer all the way up to Act IV, and the I stopped
because it got really hard and I wanted to play and newer gamed, so I started playing
Titan Quest, again. The main reason for this is I have been playing over LAN with Cael
and Dag. We are currently in Knossos (the end of act one).
Something related to gaming but not completely is a book I just got, Jpod With the
author Douglas Coupland. It is hilarious and has amazing character choices. Im only on
page 260 but it is a very good book. I recommend going and reading it… NOW.

In late June or so, Wal-Mart finally opened and the had a sail on 360 Elites for
350$CAD so we got it and ordered a transfer cable from Microsoft so me wouldn’t have
to us our small 20 GB hard drive for very long. Around that time Battlefield bad
company came out and I picked it up as soon as it came to Wal-Mart, having played the
demo for hours, and am still enjoying it. The helicopter mission has been kicking my ass
though, but it is still fun. The multiplayer is pretty interesting with all of its unlockables,
and I think it is pretty cool how the bullets act like projectiles from farther away and take
a little to travel. It is also very fun to blow holes in the walls for no reason, but every
once in a while when you see some one run in a building and you blow them up from
outside the building, you feel good for half of a second.
As it is becoming increasingly hot, I got a new much, much cooler computer case. It has
6 fans in total and is much more spacious than my other case. It was actually pretty
easy to put everything in the case once we figured it out. Speaking of my computer I
got a game that I’m not really enjoying so far and I bought it despite reading the reviews
because I heard it had a good story and had ok gameplay. Kane & Lynch: Dead Men.
The guns don’t feel right and the cover system is a bit messed up, and these things
combined with the part im at where you have to shoot the driver out of a dump truck as
he tries to run over you and your daughter. Somebody apparently decided to but
bulletproof windows in the dumptruck for some reason, so it is quite hard.
